What We Do at Berkeley Heights Fire Department
At the Berkeley Heights Volunteer Fire Department,
- We serve 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year through the dedication of 35+ volunteers
- We serve the 13, 500 residents and hundreds of businesses that call the 6.2 square miles of Berkeley Heights, home.
Each year, the department responds to hundreds of emergencies including but not limited to, structure fires, brush
fires, motor vehicle collisions, hazardous materials incidents, public assists, technical rescue situations, and other
miscellaneous services calls. We are able to provide fire protection and technical rescue capabilities to our community
by being well equipped and highly trained, in turn this allows us to provide the highest degree of public service to the
Township of Berkeley Heights.
